How Effective is Guerrilla Marketing?

When the concept of guerrilla marketing came along, there was great hope in the ad industry that things were changing for the better. It represented a breath of fresh air that promised to cut through the clutter and deliver the message to consumers in an innovative way. However, the more that guerrilla marketing has become mainstream, the more that it has lost its element of surprise.

A new concept is taking its place, known as "sniper marketing." With sniper marketing, companies utilize the gigantic intelligence of the internet to read the minds of prospects and determine whether they are purchase-ready or not. It is wasteful for small businesses to go after general prospects, and they are far better off targeting only those that are purchase-ready. Purchase-ready prospects are easier to identify online, and targeting them with sniper marketing can allow small business owners to increase their sales markedly on a small budget.
